Money Detectors

ArgusŪ is a German standard trademarked merchandise, equipped with a special UV energy-saving lamp (no black light!). This ultra-violet "disco-light" illuminates:

  • on the front side of Euro banknotes,
    the star circle in the European Union Flag,
    some of the stars in the star circle that is in the
    banknote's center and a couple of irregulare
    dotstrings shine red.
  • The European Union Flag and the signature change colour to green.
  • on the back side of the Euro banknotes the bricks
    in the bridge, the figures showing the amount and
    the map of the European Union shine yellow.
  • Fluorescent, coloured  fibres that are spread
    all over the banknote shine in different colours
    (red, blue and yellow).

An optical glass filters eye-annoying ultraviolet rays.

ArgusŪ-devices are high quality products to recognize forgeries. Each unit is equipped with a stable, attractive and compact aluminium housing.

ArgusŪ can also examine quickly bundles of bank notes due to the fact that bank-note paper is not fluorescent. Therefore it is possible to recognize even a falsificate within a bundle, as it shines brightly.

ArgusŪ can do a lot more: It helps you to examine cheque-cards, cheques, identity cards, passports, drivers licenses, car registration papers and lots of documents.

ArgusŪ-Kombi is additionally equipped with a white light spreader glass, in order to check   foreign currencies as well as older banknotes, which do not have the UV characteristics. Water marks, check fibres and registers can be identified easily.

There are several different devices available for all kinds of requirements. The detectors are energy saving and have been awarded the GS (tested safety) label.
